"WHY THE NAME CHANGE?"
I know some of you are wondering why I no longer use Charlene Robinson as my performance name. Well, I googled it and so maaaaaaaaaaaany Charlene Robinson's came up, and none of them were me!!!!!lolololol At that point, I realized that my parents blessed me with an alternative in the middle of my first, and last name. I've decided to use it instead. My performance name is YEDVETA. It is pronounced EDVEETA. My brothers used to tease me by saying it sounded like VELVEETA CHEESE!!! Their teasing made me remember it quickly! I know it's different, but I have faith that you too can, and will remember...

YEDVETA represented the State of Alabama in Las Vegas, Nevada holding the crown for Mrs. Alabama United States Nationals. She can be viewed in Tyler Perry's new movie "For Colored Girls" (to be released November 5, 2010), where she is an extra. She appeared in television commercials such as HCA Hospital Commercial; Hometown Heroes Commercial; (Channel 2 News Nashville, TN), and Fine Arts International Hair (BET Network). This exceptionally talented playwright, actress, vocalist, drummer, saxophonist, and songwriter kicked off "The Music City Jazz & Heritage Festival 2009" which featured such international acts as Boney James, Zapp, ConFunkShun, Jackiem Joyner, After 7, Phil Perry and many more. She was featured talent for the Music City Jazz & Heritage Festival Jam Session along with international acts such as Marion Meadows, Jo Johnson, Joey Sommerville, and Mel Williams. YEDVETA was featured entertainment for the Marion Meadows Meet and Greet Party, The Juanita Bynum Fresh Fire Revival 2009, and opened for other well-known acts such as Johnny Taylor, Cheap Trick, Bo Diddley, Joe Savage, Clarence Carter, Chairman of the Board, and Bobby Rush. She travelled all over the United States and Europe performing with Percy Sledge, Bobby Byrd (Soulciety Records/Europe) formerly with James Brown, Vickie Anderson (Soulciety Records/Europe) formerly with James Brown, Carleen Anderson (Soulciety Records/Europe), Sammy O'Banion and Mardi Gras (Coca Cola Entertainment), and the Jimmy Church Band (Nashville,TN). She recorded and performed with Storm (R.K.R. Productions), which featured Grammy Award winner Mike Dean, Gregory Knowles, and Jonathan Robinson. She also recorded with Demetrius Alexander-Stewart (Puresprings Records), Albertina Walker (Benson), Clifton Davis (Benson), Bobby Byrd (Soulciety Records Europe), and Novella Williams and the Crusaders (featuring Dr.Bobby Jones). YEDVETA was featured talent at The Martin Luther King Celebration 2009 at the T.S.U. Gentry Center, WQQK's/92Q Family Day, Nashville, TN, The Annual Black Graduates Ceremony at Vanderbilt University, WNSG/880's (3rd Sunday Series Entertainment),92Q's WQQK's Birthday Bash for Program Director Kenny Smoov, and The 2nd Chances Organization (Nashville, TN). YEDVETA reserves the titles of Paralegal, BMI Songwriter, Miss Recreation Nashville,TN, Miss Elks Nashville,TN, and Notary for the State of Tennessee. Not only is she musically fit, but this talented lady is physically fit, and speaks to teens and parents about healthy life choices.
